The Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Edward Ogundoyin, has praised the remarkable contribution of the 2023 gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Ogun State, Oladipupo Adebutu, for promoting economic growth through large-scale agricultural investment.
Ogundoyin made this remark during a courtesy visit to Adebutu’s agricultural enterprise, Solomon Kesington Agro Allied Limited, a multi-billion-naira farm located in Iperu Remo within Ikenne Local Government Area on Thursday.
Speaking during the visit, the Speaker expressed admiration for the scale of investment and the eco-friendly nature of the farm’s operations. He commended Adebutu for playing a significant role in boosting the economic fortunes of Ogun State and contributing to national development through agriculture. Ogundoyin also acknowledged the dedication of the farm’s workforce, noting that hundreds of staff members were actively engaged in different shifts at the time of the visit.
During the tour, Hon. Adebutu personally guided the delegation around the expansive facility, showcasing its modern infrastructure. The visitors were shown the international-standard processing plant, pig pens accommodating more than 30,000 pigs, cattle ranches with barns housing over 3,000 cows, as well as other livestock sections within the farm.
At the end of the tour, the delegation commended Adebutu for his commitment to maintaining high operational standards and sustaining a farm that meets global agricultural benchmarks.
Members of the delegation who accompanied the Speaker included Abraham A. A. Osinubi and Aliu A. Soyingbe, the Dean and Sub-Dean of the School of Postgraduate Studies at the University of Lagos, respectively.
